research and development of water-lubrication of ceramics
Compared with metal lubricated with oil, Ceramics lubricated with water show very low friction coefficient (m=0.001). At present, the ecological problem with oil lubricant is getting serious. Therefore, water lubrication system is expected as new lubrication system for ecologically friendly machines. In the study, we are reseaching on design of contact surface and tribo-system for solution of low friction mechanism and application with water lubrication of ceramics.
